Girl Scout Day @ the National Air and Space Museum

  • March 13, 2010
  • 10:00 AM - 02:30 PM
  • Air and Space Museum - Chantilly, VA

Registration

Come and explore exciting science activities during the Girl Scout Day at the National Air & Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center! Take the controls of a flight simulator, see the Space Shuttle Enterprise, experiment with the forces of gravity, and speak with women scientists and engineers all on the same day. Presenters from the museum, Federal Aviation Administration, NASA and many more make this a unique opportunity.

The Baltimore-Washington Section of SWE is able to reach upwards of 3000 Girl Scouts each year through Girl Scout Day. This is one of the most fun events we participate in every year and it is a great way to meet other members from the local area!! Please volunteer for this fun and rewarding event.

Volunteers received complimentary lunch from the Girl Scouts while attending.

Please volunteer for the full day or a shift (morning or afternoon). You will be required to provide your vehicle information when you register or you will not be able to park your car for free at the event (it is $15/vehicle otherwise).

The shifts are as follows:
ALL DAY: 8:30 - 3:30
First shift: 8:30 - 1:00
Second shift: 12:00 - 3:30
