Congratulations to Natalie Bryner who was recognized with the Region E Mentor Award at the Region E Conference in Philadelphia. The award recognizes a Region E member for their outstanding contributions to helping others “aspire, advance, achieve” through mentoring.

Natalie was chosen for her sustained involvement in STEM outreach over the last 10 years. Beginning as a Penn State SWE collegiate member, Natalie launched her outreach efforts as Director of Outreach and 2009 Lead Mentor for the Women in Engineering Program Orientation where she oversaw over twenty mentors who worked with 5-6 students in the school year. For BWS she served as Outreach VP for two years, and as committee chair for K-12 outreach activities since 2012. Her energy and creativity have enhanced the section's programs and reached thousands of students at Girl Scout badge events, Family Day during Engineers Week, and Women in Aerospace Day at the Air and Space Museum. She also led SWE's involvement in three USA Science and Engineering Festival events (2010, 2012, and 2014) - each reaching thousands of kids and parents - and in 2014 organized two Girls Go TechBridge events. Outside SWE, she provides one-on-one mentoring to a student at Penn State.

Congratulations, Natalie!!
